The TLAER 2-day Awareness Level Course will show you the proper way to respond and prepare for large animal emergencies. The course will cover the practical considerations, behavioral understanding, specialty equipment, techniques, methodologies, and tactics behind the safe extrication of live large animals from entrapment situations including barn and wildland fires, trailer wrecks, ditches, mud, bog, ice, and confined space situations in local emergency and disaster areas. The course will include applied principles behind using slings, webbing, and ropes for animal rescue. The TLAER training course introduces the latest concepts, techniques, procedures, and equipment being used today. Attendees will learn to work together on a scene, build a great incident action plan, then extricate the animal safely for both the animal and responders. All who attend both full days will receive a certificate of completion.
